The data shows that design is fracturing into three groups, each expressing a different feeling about their careers. 43% are using AI coding tools more than half the time, and 37% aren't using them at all. And 31% say it's most or nearly all of their output. Their daily workflow looks closer to their engineering counterparts than ever before. Then we have the dabblers sitting at 18.5%.
